Former Take That singer Robbie Williams has been “playing loud 70s rock music’ in a bid to “upset” Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page at their west London homes, according to a council complaint.
Neighbours Mr Williams and Mr Page have been involved in a dispute since the former Take That singer submitted plans to build a basement pool at his home five years ago.
The 74-year-old Mr Page was worried the excavation could damage his 1875 Grade I-listed mansion in west London where he has lived for more than 40 years.
But according to an anonymous complaint, Williams has been playing loud 70s music including, “arch rival bands Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Deep Purple” in a bid to “upset” Mr Page, according to the letter signed “Johnny” to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea council.
The letter said Williams was playing the 70s rock music on “outside speakers when he views Jimmy Page outside his home”.
The complaint also suggested Williams was dressing up as Page’s bandmate Robert Plant by “wearing a long hair wig, and stuffing a pillow under his shirt”.
A spokesperson for Williams denied the claims, telling the Telegraph they were “a complete fabrication and nonsense”.
